Liu Shi Kun Piano Art Center is a large-scale training institution chain focusing on musical instruments. The center was initially founded by the renowned pianist and music educator Mr.Liu Shikun, with over 60 branches in China so far. Mrs.Deng Lixia, a co-founder originally from the Music School of Hainan University and a student of Mr.Liu, jointly established Hainan Liu Shi Kun Piano Art Center with Mr.Liu, making it a big music training and art school since the day of June 1st 1997. The school has committed itself to be a professional, canonical and international training center, with all the teachers graduating from authoritative music conservatories and having professional background, who were selected and trained by Mr.Liu and Mrs.Deng in person with strict criteria. Courses are completely based on the professional and international teaching methods carried out by formal colleagues and universities.
Since the opening of the school, it has gained innumerable great achievements and won regional recognition in Hainan. With the help of a group of top-notch teachers, the school has cultivated tens of thousands of elite students in the field of piano, while hundreds of them have already attended prestigious music conservatories at home and abroad.
Furthermore, the school has a strong artistic and academic atmosphere, with strict teaching and service management systems. Since the establishment of the school, it has made indelible contributions to the greater cause of education and broken many records in Hainan: it is the first local music and art training school founded by a world-renowned pianist, the first organization that held a special concert with international pianists, the first organization that held and introduced International Youth Piano and Violin Contest, the first music and art training school that had taken students to compete in international professional piano competitions. Meanwhile, Hainan Liu Shi Kun Piano Art Center has cultivated a great many of prominent music teachers for Hainan, while the most of frontline piano teachers in Hainan are from our school.
The center holds public performance evaluations every three months to its students, regular concerts for excellent students, and regular exchange contests. We organizes our students to take CCOM music examination for non-majors on a regular basis. Besides, the center has a big new year’s concert in each new year. Scholarships are provided to ace students to stimulate their learning interest and help them improve their confidence and self-expression.
With three branches in Haidian, Guomao and Haifu, the school has over 100 students, dozens of piano rooms that meet international sound-proofing criteria, multi-function classrooms and an odeum originally built to hold 200 audiences, making it the earliest, largest, finest art training institution with international facilities in Hainan who provides scholarships to non-professional students.
